I feel myself really growing as a writer at my internship. My first script took about a month to write. The second script about 2 weeks. This third script I finished today took about 4 total hours.
I gave my first draft of the latest script to our head writer today and she loved it. She’s always complimenting me and says that it’s shocking how little work my scripts need on the re-writes, considering that I’m just a production intern. She’s been so good about taking me under her wing. We’ve had some really wonderful conversations and she gives me the best constructive notes and feedback.
I never thought writing for children’s television would be something I would consider trying to get a job in, but this has been such a fulfilling and wonderful experience. I love it so much.
Someone please name something worse than spilling water all over a plate of food. because that would make me feel better about what i just did.
The highlight of my day was when a friend sent me a link to some girl’s facebook photo featuring me photobombing them. That was one fucking fun night.

What a crushing end to the night.
Tonight was a tape night and after hours of read-throughs, prep, and shooting, it was realized that due to a technical error that was really nobody’s fault, we lost audio on all of our footage. The entire night was a waste of time and has to be re-shot tomorrow on top of things that were already scheduled to be shot tomorrow. That blows so hard. I offered to come in on my day off in order expedite things a bit since the other intern probably will not be helpful at all.
